Puppy Insurance

Sunday, February 17th, 2008

As you already know, pet insurance is very important especially in case we want to travel with our pets. Only think that you are not allowed to take your pet with you in the airplane, even if it is a puppy or a kitten, no matter how tiny. You’ll have to send it to the luggage area, where they put pets in cages, and where they might get sick and scared to death. I know people who gave their cats for good when they emigrate, because they were afraid their beloved pet would not stand the very long flight over the ocean. Moreover, a puppy is so fragile, more delicate than a bigger dog, so it’s better not to make it pass through this unpleasant experience, despite the insurance that breeders may give you that nothing may happen.

Why Would I Need Kitten Or Puppy Insurance?

Puppy insurance, as well as kitten insurance can be useful because you never know what diseases they might get, or might have already gotten before you take them home. I know cases when the little pet died within weeks after being acquired. Many breeds are expensive, and despite the fact that the insurance won’t bring your puppy or your kitty back, at least you’ll recover your money. Of course you’d treat your puppy like the rest of your family, securing the best medical treatment for him. You probably have a health insurance, why wouldn’t your puppy have insurance, too? You know, they can become sick, like humans.

It is well known that a little kitty or a puppy are curious beings, so they might stick their nose in places you never thought of, like the washing machine or the microwave oven. I don’t know if there’s any puppy insurance for such happenings, but it is definitely worth to try to insure your puppy or kitty against whatever accidents possible.

I’m sure you can find many kitty or puppy insurance options in your area, so why not start looking for them.

cat in bath

We are happy to present you a new edition of 1001 Cats Blog Carnival. Pisoo and I have learnt a lot of useful things since we have the pleasure of hosting this feline carnival on our blogs. This edition brings us more useful tips to keep us informed and our dear kitties happy and shining.Let’s see:

Vera Lang presents How To Give A Cat A Bath posted at Fine Pet Care .com, saying,

“Yes, cats are clean animals, but there are occasions that bathing them is needed. Giving your cat a bath, well, it’s not easy. I was clueless when I did it for the first time. I hope that this article will be of help when you need to wash your cat.”

Ha, ha! I’ve tried to wash Pisoo only once and I bet my neighbors still remember that day. And if you look at this photo (sorry for not giving credits, but I got the photo in my email and I wanted to show it to you. If you are the author, drop me a message and I’ll credit your work), you’ll see what I mean :D

Raymond presents Buy Pet Food In Bulk Online To Save Money posted at Money Blue Book, saying, “Applicable to cats too :)”

Raymond is right, using his advice you’ll save some money. Provided that you have some available space to store those supplies.

Dan-O presents Adorable Cat Web Tools to Show Off Your Love for Kitty posted at Danogo.com - Discover. Inspiring . Media, saying,

“A round up of some adorable cat Web resources to express your love for cats and get the latest tips and advice online.”

Those cat screen savers surely are cute! And they are free.

Greg Laden presents Greg Laden’s Blog : Friday Peer Reviewed Cat Blogging posted at Greg Laden’s Blog.

This is a very interesting study on cat genetics. I bet you didn’t guess that Russian Blues and Norwegian Forest cats are on the same branch of the evolution tree.

January Cat presents Toby Takes a Dive posted at Karnak Street Kats.

If you’re a cat, then you shouldn’t jump without keeping your eyes wide open.

TherapyDoc presents The Heart Has Its Reasons posted at Everyone Needs Therapy, saying,

“In the end, it’s the pets that lose out.”

This is so true. Besides, there’s no therapy for pets.

Cher presents The Cat Lady Test posted at OnlyintheApple.

Please take the test and see if you qualify for the Cat Lady title.

Anna Farmery presents Pets are a wonderful source of love posted at Widows Quest.

This surely is true. However, when it comes to cats, I cannot help myself noticing that my Pisoo loves the fridge and the cupboard as much as she loves me ;)

Spencer Jones presents Pets and Colloidal Silver posted at Colloidal Silver Secrets, saying,

“Cats love colloidal silver. They seem to have an innate sense that it is good for them. If you cat is sick, and you set a bowl containing colloidal right next to its water bowl, it will choose the colloidal silver every time.”

Strange, I didn’t know that.

Karen Dowell presents The Wiggly Wigglers podcast revisited: Sir Roy Strong posted at Wiggly Wigglers, saying,

“Whilst not strictly about cats, there is a brilliant comment from Sir Roy Strong about cats which I couldn’t resist putting in.”

Yes, and that’s exactly the only reason we decided to include the article in our cats carnival.

Edith presents How Do You Make Them Feel? posted at Edith Yeung.Com: Dream. Think. Act..

This video is really thoughtful. How you make your customers feel can make the difference.

That concludes this edition of 1001 Cats Blog Carnival. Many thanks to all our authors for their contribution.

If you want to see your story featured here too, you are invited to submit your blog article to the next edition of 1001 cats using our carnival submission form.

Funny Cats, Smart Cats And A Bunch Of Tiny Russian Blues

Saturday, February 2nd, 2008

It’s carnival time again, so help yourself to the amusing, interesting, purrring stories which make our hearts tick a bit faster.

These are our today’s articles:

Mark presents Weird Cat Behavior Homepage posted at All About Cats Blog, saying, “Comment on posted stories or add your own story and pictures of your cats odd behavior. A simple form below makes it fun and easy to submit your story and pictures. Cats can do some funny things and you may find that some of these funny cat behaviors may become a regular habit. Cats are very routine based. Once they latch onto an activity they enjoy they will practice it often.”

Susan Daffron presents The Offended Sniff posted at Logical Expressions Blog. Next time your cat sniffs, you’ll be one step closer to decipher its meaning.

Joana presents Dinner Time with Isis: A Fairytale posted at Nanashi-Inc.net. It is crazy how these humans take photos of their kitties in the most inappropriate moments, only to make a lot of fun afterwards.

Karen Shanley presents Will You Pulleeease Get Off the Computer posted at Karen Shanley. It looks like Finnegan the Cat knows how to push his master’s buttons in his own advantage.

Last, but not least, my good friend at Cendre De Roses has new kittens. They are adorable!
